 thias Kispert\nAbout the artists \nSTEVE BERESFORD is a composer\, music
 ian and arranger\, a veteran of countless bands from the Slits\, The Frank
  Chickens to the Melody Four. He has been a central figure in the British 
 improvising scene for over thirty years working with the likes of Derek Ba

 resford\nTERRY DAY is an improviser\, multi­instrumentalist\, lyricist\,
  songwriter\, visual artist and poet\, a first generation pioneer improvis
 er from the 1960s. He formed a duo with Derek Bailey (late 60s / early 70s
 ) and was a regular member of The Continuous Music Ensemble\, People Band 
 and\, later on Alterations with Toop\, Beresford &amp\; Pete Cusack. Since
  then he has collaborated with many musical luminaries\, groups\, dancers\

 MAX EASTLEY is an internationally recognized artist who combines kinetic 
 sculpture and sound into a unique art form. He is well known as a musician
  and has played many solo concerts and also played with numerous other mus
 icians such as David Toop\, Evan Parker\, Steve Beresford\, Aleks Kolkowsk
 i and Rhodri Davies.\nhttp://www.maxeastley.co.uk\nEVAN PARKER is a Britis
 h free-improvising saxophone player from the European free jazz scene.\nRe
 cording and performing prolifically with many collaborators\, Parker was a
  pivotal figure in the development of European free jazz and free improvis
 ation\, and has pioneered or substantially expanded an array of extended t

 s Nisam Ahmed Khan ­ is an artist and multi­instrumentalist who has been
  part of the British music scene since the late ‘60s. He principally pla
 ys saxophones and flute and is a long time member of the People Band. In t
 he ‘70s he recorded with the Crazy World of Arthur Brown and Robert Wyat
 t.\nGINA SOUTHGATE is an artist who\, through a growing interest in music
  and the aesthetic of musical instruments\, began to paint at gigs. She is
  well known on the London free music and jazz scene where she has painted

 ondon with experience in many fields of sound art and music. He has perfor
 med with artists ranging from John Zorn\, Evan Parker and Bob Cobbing to A

 blog.com\nThe Material Studies Group was formed in 2012 by Blanca Regina
 \, Matthias Kispert and Andy Riley\, with the mission to explore the sound
 s within the matter of everyday objects in playful and irreverent ways.\nT
 his is usually done in workshops that invite participants to engage in col
 lective improvisation and afterwards discuss their experiences of the proc
 ess. The project has been continued by Blanca Regina and Matthias Kispert.
 \nBLANCA REGINA is an artist\, educator and curator who focuses on live p
 erformance\, music and moving image. She works in free improvisation\, sol
 o and collectively. She has worked with Matthias Kispert\, Leafcutter John
 \, Steve Beresford\, Terry Day\, John White &amp\; Sharon Gal among others

 king in London. His work encompasses sound\, video\, audio-visual live per
 formance\, improvisation\, installation and interventions in public space\
 , and he is a member of media art collective D-Fuse. He has collaborated w
 ith artists and musicians including Quayola\, Bart Hess\, Max Hattler\, Bl
 anca Regina\, and he is a lecturer in Sound Art at the University of Arts
