 . Murnau's 1927 classic "Sunrise: A Song Of Two Humans" with a live improv
 ised soundtrack from Steve Beresford\, Blanca Regina\, Olie Brice and Paul
  Khimasia Morgan.\n\nA married farmer falls under the spell of a femme fat
 ale from the city\, who tries to convince him to drown his wife\, but desp
 eration and turmoil ensue…\n\n"Sunrise" deals with risqué themes such a
 s obsession\, temptation\, lust and ultimately\, redemption.\nAt the very 
 first Academy Awards in 1928\, "Sunrise" won three Oscars\; for Unique And
  Artistic Picture\, Jane Gaynor won Best Actress\, and Charles Rosher and 
 Karl Struss for their groundbreaking cinematography.\n\nSteve Beresford is
  a well-known member of the London improvising scene since the 1970s. He 
 has featured on a large number of recordings of improvised music and been 
 involved with Alterations\, Imitation Of Life\, Derek Bailey’s Company e
 vents and with the Portsmouth Sinfonia. Beresford has continued to play fr
 ee improvisation with a number of prominent musicians including Evan Parke
 r\, John Zorn and Han Bennink.\nBlanca Regina is an artist\, teacher and c
 urator currently involved in creating audio-visual performances\, sound-wo
 rks\, installations and film. Her research and practice encompass sound ar
 t\, free improvisation\, moving image\, live events\, electronic music and
  performance. She is co-founder of the Live Cinema Foundation.\nOlie Brice
  is a double-bassist whose most recent record\; a duo with John Edwards\, 
 is released by Confront.\nPaul Khimasia Morgan is an improviser drawn to w
 orking with unorthodox instrumentation and technique. He has recorded both
  solo and in collaboration with Dan Powell as Brambling\, and with sound a
 rtists Simon Whetham and Joseph Young. He curates Aural Detritus Concert S
 eries\, manages The Slightly Off Kilter Label and writes for The Sound Pro
 jector
