 _\n‘Narrating Structures’ is an intensive workshop where we introduce 
 projection mapping.  We will look at diverse techniques for the productio
 n of audiovisual projects in architectural spaces and objects and also its
  application in artistic and creative work\nThe 2 day workshop is divided 
 in 6 sections.\n1- Introduction. ‘Son et lumiere’\, live cinema\, vide
 omapping installation.\n2- Study of multiple video-mapping projects.\n3- L
 earning multiple techniques and applying them using the different spaces a
 nd structures. The use of 2D a 3D projection mapping.\n4- Projection mappi
 ng on different surfaces.\n5- Creating content for the surfaces.\n6- Creat
 ion and presentation of a specific group project.\nAt the end of this work
 shop you will be able to create various projections simultaneously\,  sha
 pe light into objects and spaces\, project manage and connect with local a
 nd international communities.This workshop is for visual artists\, graphic
  designers\, architects and anybody interested.\nTech requirements:\nBring
  your own computer.This workshop is oriented to Mac users. A mac laptop wi
 th osx 10.7 is recommended. 10.6 is not supported.\nYou can bring also If 
 you have\, midi controller\, projector\, model/shape you want to map on\, 
  DMX controller (Artnet\, Enttec or minimad)\nAbout the mentors:\nDr. Bla
 nca Regina Pérez-Bustamante is an educator\, artist and curator\, based 
 in London.\nShe is involved in creating mixed media performances\, install
 ations and film and is currently teaching at the School of Fine Arts and M
 usic in the University of Kent.\nHer research and practice encompass expan
 ded cinema\, free improvisation\, moving image\, photography and audiovisu
 al performance.  She has published various texts and conducted several wo
 rkshops and talks internationally focusing on Audiovisual\, New Media and 
 Performance Art (Universidad de Puerto Rico\, University of Canterbury\, G
 oldsmiths University\, Festival Internacional de Cine de las Palmas\, La C
 reación Electrónica\, La Casa Encendida) and she has presented several c
 onferences with AVAcademy in Moscow and St. Petersburg (Russia).\nShe is c
 urator at the Live Cinema Foundation and Strange Umbrellas. With Matthias 
 Kispert she founded the Material Studies Group\, developing a series of wo
 rkshops and performances around the production of sound with everyday obje
 cts. In 2012\, with Steve Beresford\, she started Strange Umbrellas\, a pl
 atform for free improvised music and visual art. Her performances include 
 collaborations with artists such as Leafcutter John\, Steve Beresford and 
 Matthias Kispert. Current works in development include Unpredictable\, a
  film about Terry Day.\nGorka Cortázar is a Venezuelan programmer and di
 gital artist\, currently based in Madrid.\nAfter studying sociology\, Gork
 a started a successful career in the technology world\, focussing on provi
 ding creative solutions to communicational problems through computers. Dur
 ing his 12 years career at Merlin (one of the most innovative technology c
 ompanies in Latin America) he advised on projects for global brands like W
 arner Channel\, Sony Entertainment Television\, AXN\, Santander Bank and M
 ovistar.\nIn 2008 he founded Tecné Collective with Rodrigo Arcaya\, to ex
 plore the boundaries between technology and art. With Tecné Collective\, 
 he specialized in real time generative art\, applied through projection ma
 pping and architectural lighting.\nTecné Collective shows and installatio
 ns have been recently featured in Miami\, Norfolk\, Madrid\, Bilbao\, Hels
 inki\, Oulu\, Copenhagen\, Aarhus\, Oslo\, Eindhoven\, Sao Paulo\, and Mex
 ico D.F. In the following months they have new installations scheduled in 
 Baku\, Doha and Helsinki.\nHe teaches workshops about programming\, genera
 tive art and projection mapping in various institutions\, in Madrid\, Lond
 on\, Sao Paulo and Mexico.\n\n\n&nbsp\;
