DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\nLondon\, 2nd to the 9th of July 2017\n\nSONIC WATERLO
 O\, which runs in London from the 2nd to the 9th of July 201\, is a festiv
 al that presents activities around the subject of sound in various locatio
 ns in the area of Waterloo\, including IKLECTIK\, Lower Marsh\, Granby Pla
 ce\, Morley College and Old Paradise Yard.\n\nHighlights of the festival i
 nclude an exhibition called Sonic Waterloo that presents videos\, installa
 tions and sculptures by Hugh Davies\, Peter Cusack\, Lee Berwick\, Rob Oli
 ns\, Ximena Alrcón and others. And live performances presenting sonic pr
 actices\, cross disciplinary arts and free improvisation. Leafcutter John\
 , Rie Nakajima\, David Toop\, Janek Shaefer\, Isnaj Dui\, Kathy Hinde\, Gi
 no Robair and more artists will launch the first edition throughout the we
 ek.\n\nThere will be series of talks by specialists about sound &amp\; pol
 itics\, technology\, environment and psychology with Jean­Paul Thibaud\, 
 Ruth Herbert\, Atau Tanaka\, Cathy Lane\, Iris Garrelfs\, etc. There ́s a
 lso a sonic walk around Waterloo and a sound exploration workshop for kids
 . IKLECTIK is a beautiful space next to Archbishop’s Park\, a few minute
 s walk from Lambeth North tube station and close to Waterloo station. It w
 ill act as a focus for the festival ́s activities. The unique nature of t
 he area ­ its geography\, sounds\, social and artistic history ­ will be
  reflected in music and visual work and participatory workshops and sound 
 walks in various interesting locations.\n\nSonic Waterloo is curated by Ed
 uard Solaz (IKLECTIK) and Steve Beresford &amp\; Blanca Regina (Unpredicta
