 ________________\n\n‘Narrating Structures’ is an intensive workshop wh
 ere we introduce projection mapping.  We will look at diverse techniques 
 for the production of audiovisual projects in architectural spaces and obj
 ects and also its application in artistic and creative work\n\nThe 2 day w
 orkshop is divided in 6 sections.\n\n1- Introduction to mentors and presen
 tation of their work in this field.\n\n2- Study of  multiple videomapping
  projects.\n\n3- Learning multiple techniques and applying them using the 
 different spaces and structures.\n\n4- Presentation by Reuben Sutherland f
 ocussing on methods and tips for visual content production.\n\n5- Projecti
 on mapping on different surfaces.\n\n6- Creation and presentation of a spe
 cific group project\n\nAt the end of this workshop you will be able to cre
 ate various projections simultaneously\,  shape light into objects and sp
 aces\, project manage and connect with local and international communities
 .\n\nThis workshop is for visual artists\, graphic designers\, architects 
 and anybody interested.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nAbout the mentors:\n\nDr. Blanca Reg
 ina Pérez-Bustamante is an educator\, artist and curator\, based in Londo
 n.\n\nShe is involved in creating mixed media performances\, installations
  and film and is currently teaching at the School of Fine Arts and Music i
 n the University of Kent.\n\nHer research and practice encompass expanded 
 cinema\, free improvisation\, moving image\, photography and audiovisual p
 erformance. In 2010\, she received a doctorate in Humanities from Universi
 ty Rey Juan Carlos\, Madrid\, with the thesis The VJ and audiovisual perfo
 rmance: towards a radical aesthetic of postmodernism.\n\nShe has published
  various texts and conducted several workshops and talks internationally f
 ocusing on Audiovisual\, New Media and Performance Art (Universidad de Pue
 rto Rico\, University of Canterbury\, Goldsmiths University\, Festival Int
 ernacional de Cine de las Palmas\, La Creación Electrónica\, La Casa Enc
 endida) and she has presented several conferences with AVAcademy in Moscow
  and St. Petersburg (Russia).She is curator at the Live Cinema Foundation 
 and Strange Umbrellas. With Matthias Kispert she founded the Material Stud
 ies Group\, developing a series of workshops and performances around the p
 roduction of sound with everyday objects. In 2012\, with Steve Beresford\,
  she started Strange Umbrellas\, a platform for free improvised music and 
 visual art.\n\nHer performances include collaborations with artists such a
 s Leafcutter John\, Steve Beresford and Matthias Kispert. Current works in
  development include Critical Practice Group in London and Unpredictable\,
  a film about Terry Day.\n\nGorka Cortázar is a Venezuelan programmer and
  digital artist\, currently based in Madrid.\n\nAfter studying sociology\,
  Gorka started a successful career in the technology world\, focussing on 
 providing creative solutions to communicational problems through computers
 . During his 12 years career at Merlin (one of the most innovative technol
 ogy companies in Latin America) he advised on projects for global brands l
 ike Warner Channel\, Sony Entertainment Television\, AXN\, Santander Bank 
 and Movistar.\n\nIn 2008 he founded Tecné Collective with Rodrigo Arcaya\
 , to explore the boundaries between technology and art. With Tecné Collec
 tive\, he specialized in real time generative art\, applied through projec
 tion mapping and architectural lighting.\n\nTecné Collective shows and in
 stallations have been recently featured in Miami\, Norfolk\, Madrid\, Bilb
 ao\, Helsinki\, Oulu\, Eindhoven\, Sao Paulo\, and Mexico D.F. In the foll
 owing months they have new installations scheduled in Baku\, Doha and Hels
 inki.\n\nHe teaches workshops about programming\, generative art and proje
 ction mapping in various institutions\, including Medialab Prado (Madrid)\
 , Istituto Europeo di Design (Madrid) and SESI-SP (Sao Paulo).\n\nReuben S
 utherland is a British VJ\, director and visual artist\, specialising in m
 ixing up live action and animation.\n\nSutherland has made music videos fo
 r The Doves\, Phoenix Foundation and Röyksopp (their single Happy Up Here
 ). He also created videos for the New Zealand based independent record lab
 el Flying Nun Records.He has directed various TV commercials through the p
 roduction company Joyrider.\n\nTogether with noise artist Dan Hayhurst\, S
 utherland formed Sculpture\, a visual and musical group which does livezoe
 trope-video art performances with a record player and a camera. Hayhurst p
 lays improvised music with tape loops and effects equipment. Sculpture has
  performed in festivals and clubs in Europe\, among which ATP was one.\n\n
 Works of Sutherland are being included in the tenth anniversary documentar
 y about the All Tomorrow's Party Festival\, published by Warp Records.\n\n
 Sutherland has directed commercials for Adidas\, Smirnoff\, IKEA\, T-Mobil
